Cub Scout Program at WashJam 2009
Hear ye, Noble Cub Scouts!
Are you ready for the challenges facing the knights of the Cub Kingdom? Can
you...
- Lay siege to the castle by way of the Thunder Dome? A challenge for a den
or a group of Cubs
- Scale the castle wall? (Climbing wall)
- Cross the moat? (Boats or rope bridge)
- Hit the target? (Archery and wrist rockets)
- Tackle the bouncing obstacle course?
- Build a castle out of nothing but sand?
- Demonstrate your Cub skills with knots and more?
- Puzzle out the magic tricks and listen to the stories in mysterious Digon Alley?

Imagine the biggest, busiest Cub Scout day camp you can - then think of something
bigger! That's the plan for Cub Kingdum at WashJam 2009. There will be plenty of
interesting challenges and activities for Cubs of all ages.
Cub Activities Available Throughout WashJam
The Boy Scout and Varsity Programs, while designed for Scouts 11 years old and up,
will have some activities available and adapted to Cub Scouts. While Cub World is
basically a one day event, for Cubs who camp at WashJam for multiple days, there
will be plenty to see and do.
WashJam Is Family Friendly
Want to come to WashJam as a family, but the camping thing is just too much to cope
with? Come visit for a day. We have special one day arrangements designed and intended
to make it practical for a family to come for one day, or for a Pack or Den to make
WashJam a day trip. For day visitors, there's a reduced fee of $20 per Cub or sibling
7 year old and up, and parents or leaders are free. WashJam activities won't be
suitable for children under 7 so while there is no charge for them, parents should
keep them closely supervised. Come on Friday or Saturday and stay for the evening
show. We'll keep Cub World open during dinner while the campers are preparing their
meals and eating.
Demonstrations and Other Exhibits
We expect a wide range of civic, conservation, religious, and commercial exhibits.
We'll also have many different kinds of military equipment on display.
