Venturing Program at WashJam 2009
Live The Adventure - In Venturing!
What a Venturing crew does is limited only by the imagination and involvement of
the adult and youth leaders and members of the crew — sail the Caribbean,
produce a play, climb a mountain, teach disabled people to swim, or attend the
Olympics. All these adventures and many more are being done today by Venturing
crews and ships across the country. All that is needed are concerned adults who
are willing to share a little bit of themselves with today's youth — tomorrow's
leaders.
Here at the 2009 Washington State Jamboree, we will offer Venturing
ONLY activities, as well as, activities for other boys to attend.
VENTURING ONLY ACTIVITES INCLUDE:
- Venturing Leaders in High Positions: Past and present
Regional and National Venturing Youth Presidents will be available to share
their experiences and answer questions for the Venturers of Chief Seattle
Council.
- Quest Award Requirement Workshop: Workshop on History and Heritage of
the Disabled Sports Movement with special guest appearances, will be offered.
(Quest Required Achievement)
- Pistol Shooting
- Fly Fishing: Learn how to tie flies
and cast a fly rod.
- Sea Scout Boat
These are just a few activities that will be
offered to Venturers ONLY. We are striving to make this event the best event
possible.
Come and bring your Crews and Ships to participate in the 2009
Washington Jamboree.
